The Greek Na­tional Opera presents a new pro­duc­tion of Ge­orges Bizet’s pop­u­lar opera “Car­men” at the Herod At­ti­cus Theater on July 27 and 29. The 140-year-old opera is di­rected by Bri­tain’s Stephen Lan­gridge. Shows start at 9 p.m. and ad­mis­sion ranges from 20 to 100 euros. Tick­ets can be pur­chased online or by call­ing 11876. The per­for­mances are part of this year’s Greek Fes­ti­val and tick­ets can be pur­chased at as well as at the fes­ti­val’s box of­fices on 39 Panepis­timiou St, in­side the ar­cade (open Mon­days to Fri­days 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Satur­days 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.) and the Herod At­ti­cus Theater on Diony­s­iou Aeropag­i­tou St (9 a.m. to 2 p.m. & 6-9 p.m. daily).
