The Greek Na­tional Theater and Rus­sia’s Vakhtan­gov Theater present a pro­duc­tion of Sopho­cles’ “Oedi­pus Rex” at the An­cient Theater of Ep­i­dau­rus on Fri­day, July 29 and Satur­day, July 30. The play is di­rected by Rus­sian di­rec­tor Ri­mas Tu­mi­nas and is part of this year’s Greek Fes­ti­val. Per­for­mances take place at 9 p.m. and ad­mis­sion ranges from 8 to 45 eu­ros. Tick­ets for Greek Fes­ti­val events can be pur­chased on­line at www.viva.gr as well as at the fes­ti­val’s box of­fices at 39 Panepis­timiou St, in­side the ar­cade (open Mon­days to Fri­days from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Satur­days from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.) and the Herod At­ti­cus Theater on Diony­s­iou Aeropag­i­tou St (open 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. daily.
