The 11th edi­tion of the Aegina In­ter­na­tional Mu­sic Fes­ti­val is tak­ing place on the Sa­ronic is­land Au­gust 6-16 un­der artis­tic di­rec­tor Dora Bakopoulou. This year the event pays trib­ute to visual artist Yian­nis Mo­ralis. The fes­ti­val kicks off with so­prano Christina Gian­nakopoulou, flutist Vicky Vas­sil­iadi and pi­anist Maria Pa­pa­petropoulou per­form­ing French works at Soti­ras Church on Satur­day, Au­gust 6. On Sun­day, Au­gust 7, so­prano Elena Ke­le­sidi and pi­anist Dim­itris Gi­akas present “A jour­ney to Rus­sia with its se­duc­tive mu­sic,” a con­cert ded­i­cated to the year of Greek-Rus­sian friend­ship.
