Propeller Club honors Greek ships
Over 1,700 Greek-owned oceangoing ships, managed by more than 170 Greek shipping companies, were honored on Monday evening at a special ceremony by the International Propeller Club of the United States – Port of Piraeus, for saving human lives at sea. Some of the Automated Mutual Assistance Vessel Rescue (AMVER) Awards were delivered by the new US ambassador in Athens, Geoffrey Pyatt.
Sidestepping DEPA. The sale of natural gas quantities directly from Russian giant Gazprom to local alternative suppliers of the Public Gas Corporation (DEPA) is leading to a full reversal of the domestic gas market. Gazprom has already started selling gas to Prometheus Gas and Heron, with Elpedison following suit as of this week.
