Oracle Hellas expands local operations
Software company Oracle Hellas is implementing a new investment in high technology, as it revealed yesterday with the announcement that it is expanding its new international cloud development hub in Athens to cover all the developing countries in Southeastern Europe, the Middle East and Africa. The Hub has been in operation since September.
Every information technology security project that the multinational undertakes in the region will be developed and supported by its subsidiary in Greece through this software security consultancy center.
According to the chief executive officer of Oracle Hellas, Antonis Monokroussos, the new activity will add at least 15 new jobs to the company by May 2017. The aim is to further boost the number of jobs, as a senior official of the firm says that the activation of the hub will raise the number of Oracle Hellas employees who work with clients and projects in third countries from Athens to around 55. “If all multinationals in Greece could do the same thing Oracle is doing, then we could speak of thousands of jobs in our country,” he said.
The hub’s team (Oracle Enterprise Security) has already implemented solutions for leading banks and telecommunication corporations in Greece and recently expanded its services to Saudi Arabia and Lebanon.
