The Athens Con­cert Hall is host­ing “The Im­mi­grant,” an event or­ga­nized by the Fluxum Foun­da­tion and the Flux Lab­o­ra­tory to sup­port refugee chil­dren, on Sunday, Novem­ber 27. The event will fea­ture a screen­ing of Char­lie Chap­lin’s 1917 silent ro­man­tic com­edy short “The Im­mi­grant,” ac­com­pa­nied by the Athens State Orches­tra in works by Greek-French com­poser Stephane Ts­apis, who also leads the en­sem­ble. Also tak­ing part in the event are stu­dents from the orches­tra’s newly es­tab­lished Academy of Young Mu­si­cians. Pro­ceeds from the event will go to­ward the fund­ing of ed­u­ca­tional and cul­tural projects for refugee chil­dren. Ad­mis­sion is set at 20 and 40 eu­ros.
