Po­lice yes­ter­day an­nounced three sep­a­rate drug busts from traf­fic stops in north­ern Greece that led to the con­fis­ca­tion of more than 200 kilo­grams of cannabis. The big­gest haul was made in Aghios Niko­laos in Fil­i­ata, Th­es­pro­tia, and led to the ar­rest of two women, a 33-year-old who found with nearly 119 kilo­grams of the il­le­gal nar­cotic in her car, and a 26-year-old ac­com­plice sus­pected of look­ing out for traf­fic checks in a sep­a­rate ve­hi­cle. In Kas­to­ria, po­lice ar­rested a 40-year-old Al­ba­nian na­tional found with more than 64 kilo­grams of cannabis dis­trib­uted be­tween four tote bags in the car he was driv­ing, while in Konitsa, an­other traf­fic stop re­sulted in the seizure of over 23 kilo­grams of the drug and the ar­rest of a 56-year-old man and a woman aged 84.
