Cul­tural or­ga­ni­za­tion NEON presents “Fly­ing Over the Abyss,” an ex­hi­bi­tion of works at the Athens Con­ser­va­tory by lo­cal and in­ter­na­tional artists in­flu­enced and in­spired by “Asce­sis: The Sav­iors of Gods,” a se­ries of spir­i­tual ex­er­cises penned by Nikos Kazantza­kis. The ac­claimed Cre­tan au­thor’s orig­i­nal man­u­script is also on dis­play. Par­tic­i­pat­ing artists in­clude Ma­rina Abramovic, Alexis Akrithakis, Matthew Bar­ney, Louise Bour­geois, Vlas­sis Ca­niaris, Stavros Gas­paratos, Gil­bert & Ge­orge, Mike Kel­ley, Martin Kip­pen­berger, Costas Tso­clis, Sher­rie Levine, Bruce Nau­man and Gary Webb.
