Cultural organizati­on NEON presents “Flying Over the Abyss,” an exhibition of works at the Athens Conservato­ry by local and internatio­nal artists influenced and inspired by “Ascesis: The Saviors of Gods,” a series of spiritual exercises penned by Nikos Kazantzaki­s. The acclaimed Cretan author’s original manuscript is also on display. Participat­ing artists include Marina Abramovic, Alexis Akrithakis, Matthew Barney, Louise Bourgeois, Vlassis Caniaris, Stavros Gasparatos, Gilbert & George, Mike Kelley, Martin Kippenberg­er, Costas Tsoclis, Sherrie Levine, Bruce Nauman and Gary Webb. Opening hours are Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from noon to 8 p.m. and Saturdays and Sundays from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. The exhibition­s runs through January 29.
