Two Athens squats raided by authorities
Riot police are seen yesterday morning outside a building on Alkiviadou Street, central Athens, which has been occupied since February. Police raided two squats in the city center yesterday, reclaiming properties and detaining dozens of people. In the raid at the building on Alkiviadou Street, police found 120 migrants, who were transferred to the Aliens Bureau on Petrou Ralli Street. Another building in the suburb of Zografou, occupied by members of anti-establishment groups since 2012, was also raided and seven people were taken to Athens Police Headquarters.
