Pavlopoulos recalls ancient battle cry
President Prokopis Pavlopoulos and Defense Minister Panos Kammenos continued yesterday touring Aegean islands with visits to Panaghia, Lemnos, Chios and Aghios Efstratios. For the second day, the helicopter carrying the president suffered radio interference from Turkey. The pilots were warned by the Turkish side that they were flying in the neighboring country’s air space. On Aghios Efstratios, Pavlopoulos told soldiers that Greek history shows that the only message with which to greet would-be invaders is ‘Molon lave’ (Come and get it).
