In­dus­trial out­put up 1.6 pct y-o-y in June

Greek in­dus­trial out­put rose 1.6 per­cent in June com­pared to the same month a year ago, af­ter an up­wardly re­vised 6.3 per­cent in­crease in May, statis­tics ser­vice ELSTAT said yes­ter­day. Look­ing at in­dex com­po­nents, man­u­fac­tur­ing pro­duc­tion grew 2.8 per­cent from the same month last year, while min­ing out­put de­clined 3.5 per­cent. Elec­tric­ity pro­duc­tion in­creased 0.1 per­cent. hol­i­days will be able to do so on Au­gust 15, which is con­sid­ered a com­pul­sory day off. The re­minder about the rules that ap­ply on Au­gust 15, which falls on a Tues­day this year, was posted yes­ter­day on the web­site of the Gen­eral Con­fed­er­a­tion of Greek Work­ers’ (GSEE) In­for­ma­tion Cen­ter for Work­ers and the Un­em­ployed. Em­ploy­ees of busi­ness that are not al­lowed to op­er­ate on Au­gust 15 are en­ti­tled to their reg­u­lar pay.
