The City of Athens will com­mem­o­rate the 73rd an­niver­sary of the Greek cap­i­tal’s lib­er­a­tion from the Nazis with a spe­cial flag-rais­ing cer­e­mony on the Acrop­o­lis hill and wreath lay­ings at the Tomb of the Un­known Sol­dier in front of the Par­lia­ment at Syn­tagma Square on Thurs­day, Oc­to­ber 12. In the evening, a con­cert will be held at Build­ing 6 of the Mu­nic­i­pal Art Cen­ter in Eleft­he­rias Park (next to the Athens Con­cert Hall), fea­tur­ing singers Fivos De­livo­rias and Ma­toula Za­mani, pi­anist Pana­gi­o­tis Tsevas, gui­tarist Costas Nikolopou­los, drum­mer Thanos Kazantzis and vi­olin­ist Gian­nis Kon­toratos.
