» Athens » To Jan­uary 14 The NEON cul­tural or­ga­ni­za­tion has in­vited Kostis Velo­nis to cre­ate an in-situ in­stal­la­tion to tell the story of a neo­clas­si­cal build­ing in down­town Athens. Ti­tled “A Pup­pet Sun,” the Greek artist’s pro­ject uses a va­ri­ety of me­dia to delve into the build­ing’s his­tory and the dif­fer­ent pur­poses it served – in­clud­ing home to Pav­los Koun­tou­ri­o­tis, the first pres­i­dent of the Sec­ond Hel­lenic Repub­lic, po­lit­i­cal meet­ing place, lit­er­ary hang­out and a stu­dent club be­fore WWII.
