Saints Son­ics mauled North Ruimveldt Mul­ti­lat­eral 17-0 in the boys cat­e­gory while Bingo Spar­tans clob­bered BCC Hur­ri­canes 12-0 in the girls cat­e­gory of the Guyana Hockey Board U-19 out­door tour­na­ment at the St Stanis­laus Col­lege Ground, Cariftesta Av­enue on Satur­day.

In other re­sults, Old Fort de­feated Ge­orge­town Cricket Club The Se­quels 4-2 in the Bounty Pa­per Towel sec­ond di­vi­sion out­door league.

In the boys U-19 fix­ture, Troy Hodge net­ted six goals while Hil­mar Ch­ester added four and Ed Chinian, three in the big­gest vic­tory of the com­pe­ti­tion. GCC Pit­bulls de­feated Old Fort 2-0 in the other boys U-19 match.

In the fe­male group, Abo­saide Cado­gan scored five goals in­clud­ing two in the 38th minute while her team mate, Alana Che­ung bagged a hat trick in the win.

In an­other fe­male en­counter, Saints got the bet­ter of St. Joseph’s High.

Cherub Ou­tar net­ted a hat trick for Saints in a 4-1 win.

In the sec­ond di­vi­sion clash, Old Fort found so­lace in the vic­tory over GCC The Se­quels thanks to Omar Hop­kin­son’s three goals in the first half of the 40 minute af­fair.

Hik­ers edged Saints 1-0 as Chinian scored in the 17th minute to end the day’s play. Ac­tion con­tin­ues today with six more matches at the same venue from 15:00hrs.
