Blackheads can be stubborn. They are caused when your skin pores get clogged, are exposed and oxidize to assume a dark colour. So how to get rid of them? Easy! Naturally too, using ingredients from your kitchen.
1. Lemon honey treatment
Lemon’s astringent properties open the clogged pores, while honey with its antibacterial properties keeps the bacterial action that causes blackheads at bay. Mix one teaspoon of lemon juice with half a teaspoon of honey. Apply this mixture where you have blackheads. Once it dries, wash off with lukewarm water. Repeat 3-4 times in a week for best results.
2. Egg white treatment
Whisk one egg white and add about two teaspoons of lemon juice. Apply to the affected area and let dry, then apply a second layer. After 20 minutes, rinse off thoroughly with normal water.
3. Oatmeal treatment
This unclogs pores and exfoliates. Mix two tablespoons of oatmeal, three tablespoons of plain yogurt and the juice of half a lemon juice. Apply the paste to the affected area. Let it sit for 15 minutes. Rinse it off with warm water. (Free Beauty Tips)
