Man held in Ja­maica for rape of two tourists

GLEANER) The Manch­ester po­lice ex­pect that very soon, De­mar Scott, the man held by the St James po­lice in con­nec­tion with the al­leged rape of two guests at a re­sort there, will face iden­ti­fi­ca­tion pa­rades in re­la­tion to six rape cases in Man­dev­ille last year.

“Mr Scott is still with the St James po­lice. We have not got­ten time­lines as to when he will be sent to us as yet, but we

are hop­ing to get that in place next week,” chief of po­lice in Manch­ester, Su­per­in­ten­dent Wayne Cameron told a Manch­ester Cham­ber of Com­merce fo­rum late Thurs­day.

“We have six files presently that we have gone through… per­tain­ing to Scott. In all of these in­ci­dents he will be placed on an ID pa­rade,” Cameron told his au­di­ence at the Golf View Ho­tel.
