Albouystow­n girl on bail over obstructin­g policewoma­n

A sales clerk was yesterday granted bail after she was accused of obstructin­g a policewoma­n, who was attempting to perform her duties.

Nineteen-year-old Candacia Campbell was read a charge which stated that on June 20, at James Street, Albouystow­n, she obstructed Policewoma­n 22141 Renee in the execution of her duties. The mother of one denied the allegation. It was stated that the officer was performing duties in a seven-grammes cannabis find at the very location.

Magistrate Sunil Scarce granted the young woman, of 144, James Street Albouystow­n, $40,000 bail.

The matter will be called again on July 10 before Magistrate Annette Singh.
