CAL for limited service to Ogle airport
-due to runway works at CJIA
Caribbean Airlines says that due to construction works scheduled at the Cheddi Jagan International Airport (CJIA), Timehri, from 13 October to 03 November 2017, the flights BW 483 (POS/GEO) and BW 484 (GEO/POS) have been affected on specific days.
In a statement yesterday, CAL said that to minimise disruption to its valued customers, on the days where flights cannot operate to/from CJIA, it will operate services from the Eugene F. Correia International Airport (OGL), Ogle to Piarco International Airport, Trinidad.
Caribbean Airlines flights out of OGL, will operate as BW 463 and BW 464, and are for passenger re-accommodation only. These flights will not be available for sale.
Following the CAL statement, the CJIA Corporation issued a statement saying that effective October 13, 2017, aircraft operations will be interrupted at the CJIA to accommodate runway works.
The Aerodrome will be closed from 6 pm to 6 am between October 13 and November 2, 2017 - except Tuesdays and Thursdays and Saturday, October 14 and Saturday, October 21.
It said that the travelling public is therefore urged to contact their travel agents/airlines to confirm their flights during this period.
