Sex work­ers charged again with rob­bing client

Two sex work­ers were yes­ter­day charged with rob­bing a client.

The court of Mag­is­trate Judy Latch­man also heard that the ac­cused, Kevin Forester, 21, and God­frey Cox, 19, both have a pend­ing charge of a sim­i­lar na­ture, for which they were out on bail. As a re­sult, the men were de­nied bail.

The new charge against them states that on Oc­to­ber 24, at Croal Street, they al­legedly robbed Vic­tor Bess of GY$84,000 and US$370, amount­ing to GY$158,000 in to­tal.

See­ing that the men had a pend­ing mat­ter, the pros­e­cu­tor ob­jected to bail be­ing granted and his ob­jec­tion was up­held by the mag­is­trate. The pro­ceed­ings have been ad­journed un­til Novem­ber 10.
