Armed ban­dits trail bank cus­tomers into cafe, rob them and fa­cil­ity

The

Cof­fee Bean cafe lo­cated on Church Street, Ge­orge­town was ear­lier on Tues­day robbed by armed ban­dits who fled the scene with an undis­closed sum of cash from cus­tomers as well as the busi­ness.

Based on in­for­ma­tion re­ceived, two armed men re­port­edly en­tered the build­ing after trail­ing two busi­ness­men who had just left a city bank and went into the cafe.

After pounc­ing on the two men, the ban­dits re­port­edly as­saulted other cus­tom- ers and staff of the fa­cil­ity.

Ac­cord­ing to re­ports, the vic­tims com­plied with the re­quests of the per­pe­tra­tors to lie on the floor and turn over all of their valu­ables.

The or­deal lasted ap­prox­i­mately 5 min­utes after which the armed men fled the scene in a wait­ing car.

Po­lice per­son­nel are re­view­ing sur­veil­lance footage from the busi­ness to de­ter­mine the iden­tity of the duo since they were re­port­edly un­masked through­out the or­deal.
