KFC staffer robbed on way home
A 36-year-old manager in training, attached to Beharry Restaurant Holdings Inc (KFC) is now in a state of distress after being pounced upon by a lone gunman on Tuesday evening, while walking home from work on Anira Street, Queenstown, Georgetown.
Charrissa Rampersaud was reportedly some houses away from her own home, at around 7:15 pm, when she noticed a White Allion motorcar, PSS 8175 stop a few feet in front of her.
In an ordeal that lasted less than 3 minutes, the bandit grabbed Rampersaud’s purse, pushed her to the ground then hopped back into the waiting motor car, which quickly fled the scene.
The woman reportedly lost a quantity of valuables including, 2 mobile phones, a hard drive, her wallet containing approximately $10,000 cash, her ID card, her National Insurance Scheme (NIS) card along with her bank cards.
The matter was reported and an investigation has been launched.
