La gastronomía de la ciudad se formó gracias a las aportaciones de los distintos pueblos que la fundaron. Los garífunas con la yuca, mariscos y el coco, y los Pech con el maíz y frijoles.
The city’s gastronomy was shaped thanks to the different cultures that established it. With the Garífunas came the yucca, coconut and sea food, and the Pech with the corn and beans.
