CATEDRAL de la inmaculada Concepción

Considerada una joya arquitectónica en Honduras. La Catedral es una de las más hermosas en el continente de estilo barroco. La iglesia posee tres naves y cinco cúpulas, una torre con ocho campanas y un tercer piso donde se encuentra el milenario reloj moro donado por el rey Felipe III, cabe destacar que este reloj es considerado el más antiguo en América. La fachada principal está compuesta en tres cuerpos y un remate mixtilíneo. Según el ordenamiento renacentista, comprende una calle central y dos calles laterales divididas por 14 columnas lisas. Esta catedral se construyó entre los siglos XVII y XVIII en honor a Santa María y se establece como la primera catedral de América. La iglesia está ubicada en la Plaza Central de Comayagua.

King Felipe III is located. It should be noted that this clock is considered the oldest in America. The main facade is composed of three bodies and a multiline finish. According to Renaissance, it comprises a central street and two side streets divided by 14 smooth columns. This Cathedral was built between the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries in honor of St. Mary and is established as the first cathedral of America. The church is in the Comayagua´s Central Square.
