Lu-style Broiled Beef at Golden Flower
“Broiling is one of the four major methods of cooking in Lu cuisine, and broiled beef has been a very popular dish since the Qing dynasty. I want to showcase this historical dish in its most authentic way.”
Lu-style broiled beef is not cooked directly over fire, but marinated then placed in a hot cast-iron skillet with spices, coriander and leek. The result is tender, tasty meat that isn’t easily burned or overcooked. It comes with thin, crispy sesame pockets for extra mouthfeel without absorbing the juices.
