Once part of the cui­sine of the Korean royal court, mandu are read­ily avail­able in Korean su­per­mar­kets, restau­rants and po­jang­macha or street­side snack tents. Steamed, boiled or fried and served in a hearty beef broth with tteok (rice cakes), com­mon fill­ings in­clude meat, veg­eta­bles, tofu, potato starch noo­dles and, some­times, kim­chi.
