Chanel may be one of the world’s most highly recognisable and universally beloved fashion brands, but when it comes to watchmaking, it is merely 30 years old compared to other Horlogerie. However, the same desire and passion continues to run within the team to create and define objects of desire and beauty without compromising on craftsmanship and technical expertise in creating exceptional timepieces. Monsieur de Chanel is the brand’s first Haute Horlogerie movement, designed and made specifically for the discerning gentlemen. What started as a desire and vision became a living creation and elegant timepiece equipped with the Calibre 1 movement – Chanel’s first in-house highwatchmaking movement. The Calibre 1 is a manual-winding mechanical movement with two integrated complications. The former is an instant jumping hour while the latter a 240° retrograde minute. Other features include a black grand feu enamel dial with a retrograde minutes counter, a jumping hour window and a small seconds counter. Only 100 pieces available worldwide.
