A mid-mallet that’s precision milled in the USA. A soft wrap-around aluminium insert and sole help raise MOI. New for 2018 is a refined head shaping, a new four-way sole to help golfers set-up square and a single sightline, which Scotty says gives a tour-preferred address look.

WE SAY:

We can argue for hours about who’s the best putter designer in the world, but it’s difficult to look past Cameron if your criteria includes money, events won and the amount of tour pros using his models. We loved the Newport M1 in last year’s test, and the new Fastack is very similar. Rory Mcilroy has flirted with the model several times, which validates its credentials. It’s a first class, ultra-stable mallet which as you’d expect feels fantastic. Even though it doesn’t have any face groove tech like many modern designs, it rolls putts just as smoothly.

TOP GEAR VERDICT

All three testers agreed the single sightline was a step forward from the popthrough “cross-hair” set-up last year. All in, the Fastback is a beautiful mid-mallet design, and it has an excellent blend of premium looks, feel and performance.
