Vanity and Venice
Italian fashion house Miu Miu has released a new title in its ongoing series of short films, Women’s Tales. Since 2011, the collaborations between the brand and distinctive directors have examined vanity and femininity, with previous shorts from Chloë Sevigny and Zoe Cassavetes. (The [End) of History Illusion] by New York-based dancer, choreographer and filmmaker Celia Rowlson-Hall is the latest iteration. The film sees Cold War-era characters in a Las Vegas nuclear bunker slowly self-destruct as events above ground take their toll. The film has premiered at the Venice International Film Festival and will be posted online.
