Duddell’s to rock London
Another Hong Kong favourite is going global. The first foreign outpost of Duddell’s will open in London under the direction of Chef Daren Liew from the Hakkasan Group. When the doors open in November, diners will be served authentic Cantonese and handmade dim sum. Housed in a venue that was once St Thomas’ Church, near London Bridge and The Shard, Michaelis Boyd architects have led the conversion. The interior makes the most of natural light and celebrates the building’s Queen Anne style. There’s a superlative bar, private dining rooms and an art programme that promises to rival that of the original Duddell’s.
