Tautou turns tables

#Legend - - LEGENDA -

In a series of photographic self-portraits on film, 41-year-old French icon Audrey Tautou explores her own whimsical image. The star of Amélie, the legendary 2001 film directed by Jean-Pierre Jeunet, is showing her Superfacial collection to the public for the first time at a contemporary photography festival in Arles, southern France, that ends on September 24. The images toy with her celebrity status, as Tautou models in Cindy Sherman-esque style. Tautou imagines herself from head to toe in dramatisations rich with a sense of the artificial. The often playful photographic fictions create the space for a long-distance look at Tautou and add another layer to the personality of this already compelling actress.
