CAT OUT OF THE BAG

Prestige Hong Kong - - BACKSTORY -

Nicolas Ghesquière’s lauded resort collection for Louis Vuitton lands in stores late this month, along with the muchanticipated items from the brand’s collaboration with fashion editor, writer and illustrator Grace Coddington. Although former model Coddington is best known for the breathtaking fashion editorials she’s conceptualised over the years for American Vogue, it’s her illustrated cats that have become the real runaway runway success story – everything they touch (er, scratch?) turns to gold. In this particular instance, the naughty felines, which comprise Coddington’s own Pumpkin and Blanket, as well as Ghesquière’s kitty Leon, join some canine companions to wreak havoc upon the classic Vuitton monogram on a sturdy, top-handle shoulder tote that’s as stylish as it’s practical. Move fast if you want to get your hands on one – pet owners with a taste for luxury will be sure to snap these up faster than you can say “meow”.
