BEEFBAR

-

The steakhouse within Central’s Club Lusitano is a rare find of a restaurant within its genre.

Unlike traditional steakhouses, the décor is contemporary and urban, exuding decent levels of comfort, especially if you’re placed at a table near the window where natural light pours in during the day. The menu covers an extensive range of raw bar favourites, from tartare to ceviche. The amberjack carpaccio and sea urchin dish, too, is simple but great. Meats are abundant at Beefbar, from a rich selection of mini burgers to charcuterie, as well as one of the most vibrant selection of meat cuts for grilled steaks, from American to Australian, Japanese Kobe to Korean short horn beef. The Australian wagyu bone-in strip and Black Angus short ribs are well executed and remain the alltime favourites here, best served with a range of sauces and one of the city’s best creamy mash and side dishes. Save room for desserts such as the soufflé, which is light and creamy but best shared between two. Beefbar’s cocktail programme is exciting with creative finds, and wine pairing is best with sommelier’s sound suggestions.
