RADICAL TAKE ON HOSPITALITY THE KRANE HOTEL

World Travel Magazine - - Just In - CHRISTINE LEE

One of the world’s unrivalled luxury experiences can be found in the up-and-coming waterfront city of Nordhavn, Copenhagen where a coal crane has transformed into a spectacular one-of-a-kind hideaway for two. The all-black interior of the Krane Room, a haven for two, pays tribute to the hotel’s origins with contemporary soul. Beautifully designed Scandinavian furniture disappears into the architecture and sets the stage for the real star - the great show of light during the day which fosters a sense of serenity. On the first floor a meeting room, called The Glassbox - billed as the place where your mind and imagination meet, is an elegantly chic space to host brainstorming sessions. Also located on the first floor, the lighter stone-clad spa is complete with bathtubs big enough to lie in and forever views of the harbour from 25 metres high. Incredible water views are also seen from the top floor’s private terrace and lounge retreat. Nearby Paper Island is a cultural destination, including art galleries and street food, so you’ll have plenty to keep yourself occupied should you want to leave your Krane-away-from-home.
