DDA fails to meet the latest deadline for their housing scheme 2014 draw
Delhi Development Authority’s (DDA) housing scheme 2014 lucky draw, had already faced twice delay and they again missed their latest deadline of 17th November and still they are yet to announce any confirm date for draw. It seems that the applicants have to wait long for the results, as DDA is facing technical issues in the process of draw. DDA is carrying out trial runs of the draw since many days, but are unable to carry out it successfully due to technical issues, which are resulting in to delay, hence the authorities were not able to meet the deadline of 14th November and then 17th November for announcing the draw. Now, the DDA will announce the final date for draw only after the technical team is ready for the draw. DDA officials says, that the trial run and mock draw are being jointly carried out by the Systems department of DDA and a team from C-DAC at the DDA headquarter Vikas Sadan, from where the draw will be announced. “We want a smooth draw and to ensure that C-DAC team is providing all the required hardware to our system officials and working hard for the expected results, but the problem in the forms that were submitted by applicants is causing an error, which will require time.” Elaborating the issues DDA Vice Chairman Balvinder Kumar said, “The number of forms received by DDA is very high they have collected total 10, 08,700 applications for the 25,034 flats on offer and because of the large number the trail run is consuming time. The data to be processed is ample. We had decided to wrap up the draw within two-three hours, but instead it is taking six-seven hours to complete the process, as there are so many forms and so many categories.” Earlier Housing scheme’s application date was also postponed, initially it was 9th October and later it was extended to 15th October.
