MMRDA ap­proves projects worth Rs.69,425 crore to be im­ple­mented in 2015

As Mum­baikars pre­pare to ring in the new year, they will re­mem­ber 2014 for sub­stan­tial im­prove­ment in the in­te­grated in­fra­struc­ture of the city­with Mumbai Metropoli­tan Re­gion Devel­op­ment Author­ity (MMRDA), the pre­mier body plan­ning and ex­e­cut­ing strate­gic projects to im­prove the qual­ity of life in the me­trop­o­lis, de­liv­er­ing in­fra­struc­ture projects worth Rs.5955 crore. The Author­ity has also ap­proved projects to the tune of Rs.69,425 crore to ramp up the in­fra­struc­ture of the coun­try’s fi­nan­cial cap­i­tal in near fu­ture. Th­ese in­clude 33.5-km Co­laba-Ban­dra-Seepz (CBZ) Metro cor­ri­dor project worth Rs.24,340 crore, 40-km long Dahisar-Charkop-Ban­draMankhurd ( DCBM) Metro Cor­ri­dor at an es­ti­mated cost of Rs.25,605 crore and 32-km long Wadala-Ghatkopar-ThaneKasar­va­davali (WGTK) Metro cor­ri­dor re­quir­ing an ex­pen­di­ture of Rs.19,097 crore.
