TDR use re­stricted in Mumbai

Gov­ern­ment of Ma­ha­rash­tra has have come up with re­stric­tive norms for Trans­fer of Devel­op­ment Rights. The TDR gen­er­ated can be used and ab­sorb ac­cord­ing to road at­tached to the plot. Roads be­tween 9 to 12 mtrs will have 50% load­ing and ab­sorp­tion. Roads be­tween 12 to 18 mtrs will be able to 75% of to­tal FSI avail­able. Plots where Roads at­tached is above 18 mtrs will be el­i­gi­ble for 100% of plot FSI. In Pune is it .4 or 40% of to­tal FSI avail­able can have ad­di­tional FSI as TDR. Ur­ban Devel­op­ment depart­ment came with such pro­posal to re­duce the con­ges­tion in densely pop­u­lated ar­eas of Mumbai. GR yet to be pub­lished.
