Award-winning fine jewellery designer Shelly Purdy is known to be a big advocate of Canadian diamonds. An eclectic artist, Shelly has come up with some diverse lines that are aweinspiring.
The Bound collection revolves around ties that bind… bound by love, bound by friendship, bound by memories. This unconventional collection is crafted in warm tones of 14-karat yellow and rose gold embellished with one-of-a-kind rose-cut diamonds.
The Vintage Opulence targets millennials who can get a taste of the past through this line, which is a throwback to Victorian design with a modern interpretation. The handmade engagement rings and bands pair the luxurious hue of 14-karat rose gold with the unique sparkle of domed rose-cut white diamonds, and blue sapphires. “Millennials appreciate the craftsmanship of a handmade piece, particularly when they are part of the design experience. They crave jewellery that is linked to a story in the details and is therefore more personal,” says Shelly. “The Vintage Opulence collection checks off all the boxes among millennials: rose gold, hand-engraved details, rose-cut diamonds, and a touch of vintage. In addition to being customisable, this collection changes millennials’ minds about what a diamond engagement ring can be.”
