For The Ages: La Bi­en­nale Paris

LA BI­EN­NALE PARIS, FOR­MERLY KNOWN AS THE BI­EN­NALE DES ANTIQUAIRES, HAS BEEN A MUST-AT­TEND EVENT FOR ART COL­LEC­TORS FOR MORE THAN 50 YEARS. START­ING THIS YEAR, THE FAIR WILL BE­COME AN AN­NUAL EVENT, BUT WILL RE­TAIN THE ‘BI­EN­NIAL’ IN ITS TI­TLE FOR NOW. THE BI­EN­NALE WILL BE HELD FROM MON­DAY, SEPTEM­BER 11TH TO SUN­DAY, SEPTEM­BER 17TH, UN­DER THE NAVE OF THE GRAND PALAIS, WITH A PRI­VATE SHOW­ING ON SUN­DAY, SEPTEM­BER 10TH.

La Bi­en­nale Paris, for­merly known as the Bi­en­nale des Antiquaires, has been a must-at­tend event for art col­lec­tors for more than 50 years. Start­ing this year, the fair will be­come an an­nual event, but will re­tain the ‘bi­en­nial’ in its ti­tle for now. The Bi­en­nale will be held from Mon­day, Septem­ber 11th to Sun­day, Septem­ber 17th, un­der the nave of the Grand Palais, with a pri­vate show­ing on Sun­day, Septem­ber 10th.

With the an­nounce­ment of its an­nu­al­i­sa­tion, the fair con­firmed its com­mit­ment to re­newal and de­vel­op­ment, adopt­ing a shorter, dy­namic for­mat, while of­fer­ing two po­ten­tial week­ends to French and in­ter­na­tional col­lec­tors and pro­fes­sion­als. La Bi­en­nale Paris 2017 has 95 con­firmed ex­hibitors, in­clud­ing 36 in­ter­na­tional ex­hibitors. In ad­di­tion to in­ter­na­tional gal­leries and an­tique deal­ers, some of the world’s great­est jew­ellers – Boghos­sian, Glenn Spiro, Anna Hu, Mous­saieff Jew­ellers and Ni­rav Modi – will par­tic­i­pate in the event.
