In­creased thresh­old for project ap­proval: MORTH au­tho­rized to ap­praise projects up to Rs 1,000 crore -- both for PPP and EPC mode in place of ear­lier Rs 5,00 crore. B. En­hanced inter-min­is­te­rial co­or­di­na­tion: An in­fra­struc­ture group has been cre­ated un­der Min­is­ter RTH for ad­dress­ing inter-min­is­te­rial is­sues. Most of the is­sues per­tain­ing to MOEF; Rail­ways and De­fence sorted out. C. Amend­ments to the model con­ces­sion Agree­ment (MCA): A com­mit­tee un­der the chair­man­ship of the Cab­i­net Sec­re­tary has been au­tho­rised to ef­fect such changes. Changes are on the anvil. D. Exit Pol­icy: The Cab­i­net has re­cently al­lowed pri­vate de­vel­op­ers to take out their en­tire eq­uity and exit all op­er­a­tional BOT projects two years from the Com­mer­cial Op­er­a­tion Date. E. Re­vival of lan­guish­ing projects:

The Cab­i­net has re­cently al­lowed one time fund in­fu­sion by NHAI for re­vival of BOT projects which are lan­guish­ing in the con­struc­tion stage, sub­ject to ad­e­quate due dili­gence of such projects on case to case ba­sis through an in­sti­tu­tional mech­a­nism.
