• MSTC cre­ated history by suc­cess­fully auc­tion­ing 29 and al­lot­ting 38 (to­tal 67) coal min­ing blocks to steel, ce­ment & power sec­tor and State owned en­ti­ties re­spec­tively in a trans­par­ent and fair man­ner. This will fetch 3.35 Lakh Crore of rev­enue to var­i­ous State Gov­ern­ments in a span of 30 years. This is over and above the ac­crual that will be avail­able to the pub­lic and in­dus­try in the form of lower elec­tric­ity tar­iff as a re­sult of e-re­verse auc­tions of coal blocks re­served for power sec­tor. There are 204 blocks to be auc­tioned. • First time Global e-ten­der-cume-auc­tion in multi-cur­rency of Red San­der Wood for the state of Andhra Pradesh valu­ing 850 Crore which was dou­ble of the re­serve price in the 1st auc­tion con­cluded in Jan'15. • In­tro­duc­tion of e-auc­tion for sale of For­est tim­ber and San­dal Wood in the state of Ker­ala for the first time in the coun­try yield­ing a rev­enue of 73 Crore till 31.3.2015. This will im­mensely ben­e­fit the lo­cal ar­ti­sans, crafts­men and peo­ple in­volved in busi­ness in the un­or­ga­nized sec­tor. • MSTC con­ducted e-auc­tion of Fly-ash em­a­nat­ing from Ther­mal Power Plants for the first time in the coun­try on be­half of two units of NTPC Ltd. This has given con­sid­er­able ben­e­fit in terms of rev­enue to NTPC. Be­sides this, the com­mer­cial uti­liza­tion of Fly-ash which is a waste prod­uct will im­prove the en­vi­ron­ment and pro­vide busi­ness op­por­tu­nity for the lo­cal peo­ple in build­ing ce­ment bricks out of it, in­clud­ing Ce­ment In­dus­try who are us­ing 30-40% of Fly-ash for ce­ment making. • Min­istry of Power en­gaged MSTC to con­duct e-re­verse Auc­tion for re­vival of un­der-utilised and Stranded Gas Based power plants in the coun­try uti­liz­ing Power Sys­tem De­vel­op­ment Fund of Rs 3500 Crore. This will en­able the power pro­duc­ers to ser­vice debts and meet op­er­a­tional ex­penses. Be­sides, this will ben­e­fit con­sumers with com­pet­i­tive tar­iffs and greater avail­abil­ity of power. • Ex­tend­ing e-pro­cure­ment ser­vices to Cen­tral Gov­ern­ment & at­tached of­fices, CPSUS and State PSUS in line with Gov­ern­ment re­solve to im­ple­ment end-to-end e-pro­cure­ment in the coun­try. • MSTC achieved high­est ever e-commerce busi­ness of Rs 23000 Crore for the year 201415 as against Rs 19400 Crore in the pre­ced­ing year i.e. a growth of around 19 per cent which re­flects and high­lights the stated agenda of the Gov­ern­ment for pro­mo­tions of e-gov­er­nance in the coun­try.
