AAI has made its presence felt in the International arena of world class airports when Jaipur International Airport won both the Airport Council International’s ASQ global Best Airport by size and Region (Asiapacific) awards in the 2-5 million passengers per annum by size & category. The Fellow Indian Airport Lucknow’s Chaudhary Charan Singh International Airport finished second to Jaipur in the global 2-5 million passenger per annum section for the year 2015. The ACI’S Airport Service Quality (ASQ) awards organized by the Montreal-based Airports Council International, are the result of more than 600,000 in-depth passenger satisfaction surveys carried out last year at more than 320 airports across 80 countries. In 2015, over half of the world's 7 billion travelers passed through an ASQ airport. It is the most coveted award for any airport.
It is a matter of pride that Airports Authority of India, a state owned organization, has won such prestigious awards, at par with other best airports in the world like Seoul’s Incheon & Singapore’s Changi (above 40 million passengers), Delhi’s IGI Airport(dial) & Mumbai’s Chatrapati Shivaji International Airport (MIAL) (2540 million passengers), Seoul Gimpo (1525 million passengers) and Sanya Phoenix (5-15 million passengers).
