Depiction in movie

Alive - - Winged Detectives -

In the American movie titled Silence of the Lambs, there is the remarkable instance of the ‘Death Beetle’ in the mouth of the female victim. It was graphically shown how that beetle led the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) to the murderer. The criminal as is proverbially said, always leaves behind some clues. What is importantly required is the imagination to pick up what can be used as a clue at the scene of the crime. This was the modus operandi of Sherlock Homes who possessed the hawk like eyes to trace the culprit unerringly.

The proverbial dead men tell no tales in disproved in myriad instances thanks to forensic entomology.
