60TH NATIONAL GARMENT FAIR: We are glad to inform the Members that the Association has received an Overwhelming Response towards Booking of Stalls at the 60th National Garment Fair. However, the Last Date for accepting of Bookings is Saturday, December 27, 2014, Subject to Availability of Stalls. Members who are interested to Participate in the said Fair are requested to send their Applications to the Office of the Association at Mumbai, Bengaluru, New Delhi & Pune immediately to avoid any last minute rush.
TEX TRENDS INDIA – 2015 (54TH INDIA INTERNATIONAL GARMENT FAIR) Ministry of Textiles, with the support of Ministry of Commerce & Industry, in association with all Textile Export Promotion Councils and Apparel Export Council, being the Lead Agency, is Organising the
Fifth Edition of ‘Tex Trends India – 2015 incorporating 54th India International Garment Fair (IIGF)’ between January 28 & 30, 2015, at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi. A detailed Circular pertaining to the above Fair has been sent to Concerned Exporters of the Association. The same has also been Uploaded on the Website www.cmai.in The Association has, so far, forwarded 22 Applications admeasuring 429 Square Metres Area to IIGF, New Delhi. SETTLEMENT OF PAYMENT DISPUTES: As you are aware, One of the Most Important Activities of the Association is the Settlement of Payment Disputes between the Members and the Retailers. The Association tries to Resolve these Payment Disputes through Conciliation/ Mediation through the Conciliation and Arbitration Sub Committee. If both the Parties fail to Resolve the Matter, the same is referred for Institutional Arbitration. For utilising the Services of Institutional Arbitration, it is absolutely necessary that there be an Agreement between both the Parties to Refer the matter for Arbitration, if it is not Resolved through Conciliation/Mediation in accordance with Rules of the Association through Conciliation and Arbitration Sub Committee, hence, it is Mandatory to Print the following Paragraph on all your Commercial Contracts such as Order Confirmations, Invoices, etc. Members are once again Requested to Print the following Paragraph on Your Invoice and Purchase Order. “Any Disputes or Differences whatsoever arising between the Parties relating to this Contract shall be Subject to Jurisdiction of Conciliation & Arbitration Sub Committee for settlement in accordance with Rules for Conciliation of The Clothing Manufacturers Association of India and if not Resolved, then shall be referred to Arbitration in accordance with the Rules of Arbitration of the Indian Merchant Chambers as per MoU between CMAI & IMC and Award made in pursuance thereof shall be Final and binding on the Parties.”

Oct 18, 2014 Circular No. 60th NGF/14 /2014 sent by Courier to all Members of the Association informing that the 60th National Garment Fair will be held on January 28 & 29, 2015, in Hall VI, NSE Complex, Bombay Exhibition Centre, Goregaon (East), Mumbai 400 028. Circular No. 54th IIGF/15 /2014 sent by Courier to the Concerned Exporters informing them that TEX TRENDS 2015 incorporating 54th India International Garment Fair will be held between January 28 & 30, 2015, at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi.
