Mr Kulka­rni has been con­nected to the Ap­parel, Gar­ments and the Fash­ion In­dus­try since he com­pleted BSc in Tex­tile Sciences. Af­ter he grad­u­ated from IIM Ahmed­abad, he worked for about 10 years, then he de­cided to ven­ture out with some­thing of his own. He suc­cess­fully Launched and mar­keted nu­mer­ous fash­ion brands in In­dia. Since then, it has been a ad­ven­tur­ous jour­ney with pleas­ant re­sults for Mr Kulka­rni! From train­ing po­ten­tial can­di­dates to make them job ready for the in­dus­try to un­der­stand­ing busi­ness are­nas in both the off­line and on­line sphere, Mr Kulka­rni has a di­verse vi­sion to ac­co­mo­date ev­ery seg­ment of the in­dus­try and thereby as­sist brands in their growth.


Mr Masand stepped on the ca­reer path at the age of 17, on the side-lines of Ed­u­ca­tion, and joined his fam­ily Busi­ness of Ap­par­els. In 1993 he started a Part­ner­ship firm M/s Rushank Cloth­iers, which, to­day, Em­ploys more than 300 Work­ers. Mr Masand is di­rectly in­volved and with the func­tion­al­i­ties of the work­ers and the day to day Ac­tiv­i­ties of the Com­pany. Con­sec­u­tively, af­ter giv­ing shape to his Com­pany, he also went on to give shape to the Brand ‘ Touch’, the same year. The Brand, to­day, is known all over In­dia for their ex­clu­sive range of Shirts, fit for ev­ery oc­ca­sion. He has been as­so­ci­ated with CMAI since 2002 and presently holds the post of the Vice Pres­i­dent and is also the Chair­man of the New Project Sub­Com­mit­tee. He is also a Trustee of a Char­i­ta­ble Or­gan­i­sa­tion in Mum­bai in­volved in get­ting heart surg­eries of poor and needy chil­dren done.

MR U M LAD Jt Chair­man, CSR

Mr U M Lad, M.Com, ACA (Char­tered Ac­coun­tant) worked with The House of Tatas since 1980 in var­i­ous Ca­pac­i­ties. He was head­ing the Ex­port Divi­sion of Ral­lis In­dia Ltd. and then took over as Ex­ec­u­tive Vice Pres­i­dent – Fi­nance of Ral­lis In­dia Ltd. In the Year 2000, Mr Lad joined Trent Ltd. as Vice Pres­i­dent (Com­mer­cial) and was Re­spon­si­ble for the Sourc­ing & Tech­ni­cal Func­tions of both, West­side & Star Ap­par­els. He was also a part of the Apex Man­age­ment Team of Trent. Mr Lad is also con­nected with the As­so­ci­a­tion for a long time and is now one of the Man­ag­ing Com­mit­tee Mem­bers of the As­so­ci­a­tion.


Mr Hingorani started work­ing at the age of 16 years. Af­ter try­ing di­verse in­dus­tries, he found his true call­ing when he worked for Lib­erty and Silk­ina Shirts, for which he was han­dling pro­duc­tion and stores and pro­duc­tion and mar­ket­ing re­spec­tively. He started his own Busi­ness called Ding Dong En­ter­prises in 1980, man­u­fac­tur­ing Trendy Shirts, Silk Shirts and Night Wear for Men un­der the Brand name ‘ GAL­AXY’. His in­ter­est in menswear led his com­pany to di­ver­sify into Eth­nic Wear in 1985. In the year 2010, Mr Hingorani started his own ca­sual wear brand ‘ GAL­AXY’, which man­u­fac­tures Trendy T-shirts. Hav­ing been around for al­most four decades, Mr Hingorani is a Brand name in him­self in the Menswear seg­ment. He has held the Post of Vice Pres­i­dent, Chair­man, Mem­ber­ship De­vel­op­ment Sub-Com­mit­tee of the CMAI in the past and con­tin­ues to be an ac­tive Mem­ber of the Man­ag­ing Com­mit­tee.


Mr Shah is the Man­ag­ing Di­rec­tor of Za­p­ata Fash­ions Pvt Ltd., a Trouser Man­u­fac­tur­ing Com­pany which has been in Busi­ness for the last 34 Years and is known for the brand Za­p­ata. The com­pany man­u­fac­tures for­mal and ca­sual trousers with a fab­ric blended with fine fi­bres. Mr Shah has been as­so­ci­ated with CMAI since 1994, con­tribut­ing to the Growth of the As­so­ci­a­tion ever since. Dur­ing these Years, Mr Shah held the Post of Chair­man, Mem­ber­ship Dev. Sub-Com­mit­tee; Mem­ber, Fair Sub­Com­mit­tee, Jt. Hon. Gen­eral Sec­re­tary & Hon. Trea­surer of the As­so­ci­a­tion. He has a deep knowl­edge of the In­dus­try which helps him to serve the As­so­ci­a­tion with in­sights and knowl­edge.


A Grad­u­ate from HR Col­lege, Mr Fakih has been in the Ready­made Gar­ment In­dus­try since 1980 and his Spe­cial­i­ties in­clude De­sign­ing, Man­u­fac­tur­ing, Whole­sal­ing, Re­tail­ing and Ex­port­ing. He is the Man­ag­ing Di­rec­tor of Naseem Cre­ations, Man­u­fac­tur­ing Eth­nic Sal­war Kur­tas, Skirts, Blouses and West­ern Wear. He has been on the Ad­vi­sory Board of NIFT (Delhi), a Spe­cial In­vi­tee on the Cen­tral Aca­demic Con­sul­ta­tion Com­mit­tee (Mum­bai), Chair­man, Ad­vi­sory Com­mit­tee, Ma­ha­rash­tra Es­tate Tech­ni­cal Ed­u­ca­tion Board (METEB) Mum­bai, on the Ad­vi­sory Com­mit­tee of SNDT (Juhu), Sophia Col­lege and BD So­mani School of Fash­ion in Mum­bai, and on the Man­ag­ing Com­mit­tee of KM Ed­u­ca­tion So­ci­ety School. Mr Fakih has been as­so­ci­ated with CMAI since last 20 Years and is also on the Man­ag­ing Com­mit­tee of the As­so­ci­a­tion. He had held the Po­si­tion of Hon Jt Sec­re­tary, Chair­man and Edi­tor of Ap­parel Magazine Sub-Com­mit­tee for more than 10 Years and was Chair­man, Fair Sub Com­mit­tee. He is still ac­tively in­volved in the Ac­tiv­i­ties of the As­so­ci­a­tion.


As Pres­i­dent, Sales and Mar­ket­ing, at Dfrnt Cloth­ing Com­pany, Mr Kanwarjani over­sees sales and han­dling chan­nel part­ners in or­der to ex­pand sales in newer ter­ri­to­ries. He has over 30 years of ex­pe­ri­ence in the ap­parel in­dus­try and has stead­fastly es­tab­lished his brand ‘ Zorro’ in the south­ern mar­kets. He is also closely as­so­ci­ated from in­cep­tion with ‘ Equa­tion’, an­other brand from the group. Mr Kanwarjani is the Man­ag­ing Com­mit­tee Mem­ber of the CMAI from the last five years and ac­tively Par­tic­i­pates in the Ac­tiv­i­ties of the As­so­ci­a­tion.


In 1990, Mr Paresh Vora grad­u­ated from Shri Chi­nai Col­lege of Com­merce & Eco­nomics, Mum­bai, with a Bach­e­lor’s De­gree in Com­merce. Dur­ing this time, he spent most of his time learn­ing the ba­sics of the trade. He es­tab­lished Utex in 1991, a boys’ bot­tom wear line, across 15 states in In­dia. He com­pleted a Diploma in Busi­ness Man­age­ment from NMIMS. He has watched the In­dus­try evolve through the 90s, learnt the process of buy­ing & sourc­ing, spent time re­search­ing new prod­ucts, and Per­fected all As­pects of Trad­ing. As one of the Found­ing Mem­bers of this Com­mit­tee, he al­ways em­pha­sises the need and dis­ci­pline for con­duct­ing Eth­i­cal Busi­ness prac­tices.


Mr Parekh started his jour­ney in the Tex­tile In­dus­try in 1993 and sub­se­quently en­tered in the Gar­ment in­dus­try in 2003. He suc­cess­fully es­tab­lished Men’s Club Wear Shirt with the Brand Names HM & Herds­man. With a vast ex­pe­ri­ence of 15 years, he has a Strong Mar­ket ex­is­tence in over 14 States. In the year 2017, he launched a New Pre­mium Club Wear Shirt Brand name ‘ Geneva’. He is cur­rently a Mem­ber of the Man­ag­ing Com­mit­tee of the As­so­ci­a­tion.
