New range of tractors from Escorts for world markets
Escorts Ltd has launched 13 new tractors in the 12-110 hp range under flagship brands Farmtrac, Powertrac, and Euroline Series to cater specifically to the world market. This is in line with Escorts’ plan to address global competition in overseas markets by designing, developing and making in India. The company also announced a new strategic approach of ‘Global Transformation Vision 2020’ to strengthen its market share across the globe.
The new range of tractors from Escorts features CRDi engines that are in compliance with the International emission norms. Escorts said it has carried out various innovations to the tractor in order to limit user fatigue, and has offered comfort, power and style with state-of-art features.
Ravi Menon, CEO, Escorts Agri Machinery, said the Escorts Group has been a witness to the transforming agricultural ecosystem since seven decades and understands the ever evolving needs of farmers worldwide. The Group has strong foothold across continents and the new transformation vision will further enable it to strengthen leadership across North Africa, South Africa, America, Europe, and ASEAN region, he added.
Escorts has begun its global expansion spree with a 5-year roadmap to be a major global player in terms of size, product portfolio and global brand, Rajiv Wahi, Head, International Business, Escorts Agri Machinery, said. He said the company’s global network is strengthened with 5 new channel partners signing up their association to introduce Escorts product line in their geographies.
