Ba­jaj bikes, 3-wheel­ers con­form to BS-IV emis­sion norms

The en­tire prod­uct range of Ba­jaj Auto, in­clud­ing mo­tor­cy­cles and 3-wheel­ers meant for do­mes­tic sales, now con­form to BS-IV emis­sion stan­dards.

The Pune-based com­pany said all its mo­tor­cy­cles, 3-wheel­ers and quadri­cy­cle brands be­ing man­u­fac­tured at its plants for do­mes­tic sales are now BS-IV com­pli­ant.

“We are proud to have achieved this clean emis­sion mile­stone well ahead of the stip­u­lated date of March 31, 2017,” Ba­jaj Auto Ltd Pres­i­dent (Mo­tor­cy­cle), Eric Vas, said in a statement. Cur­rently, In­dia fol­lows BS-III emis­sion norms for 2- wheel­ers. From April 2016, all new 2-wheeler mod­els started com­ply­ing with BS-IV emis­sion norms, and the ex­ist­ing mod­els would com­ply with BSIV emis­sion norms from April 2017, on an all-In­dia ba­sis.
