For Ashok Leyland, Ivory Coast will serve as a central location for the Francophone region in Western Africa and as a part of its emerging global footprint.

Further strengthening its outreach there, Ashok Leyland has unveiled four dynamic products: Captain, Boss, Hawk and Mitr. With the introduction of these four left-hand driven vehicles, Ashok Leyland is making a strong statement in its growing international presence. Extensive on road product trials have been carried out with various customers in the country. Products with modified vehicle specifications have been introduced to suit the needs of the Ivorian customers.

Rajive Saharia, President of Global Sales & Distribution, Ashok Leyland said at the launch ceremony: “we believe in setting new benchmarks in everything we do. The inauguration of this facility is a big-step towards offering specialized after-sales solutions to our customers in Ivory Coast and crafting trust for our brand. This one-stop destination further underlines our commitment to the government of Ivory Coast. For us, Africa is important for our global growth. With comprehensive plans for the West African region and an instrumental partnership with the Government of Ivory Coast, Ashok Leyland is all set to consolidate its efforts to make Ivory Coast an automotive hub of West Africa.”

“The new line-up of the Ashok Leyland vehicles is going to develop the logistic network of Ivory Coast. Connectivity is going to change the isolated local markets to major national markets and create direct and indirect job opportunities,” he said.

Arijit Dutt Chowdhury, Head of Project Sales, International Operations, said, “Aftersales service experiences and training programmes are becoming key differentiators for the commercial vehicle industry. Such unique Initiatives as these are industry-firsts by a manufacturer in Ivory Coast.”

From customising the vehicle, facilitating vehicle inspections, ensuring logistics and handing over of vehicles – Ashok Leyland will take full responsibility and ensure complete and comprehensive service.
