JEEP Wrangler

-

After ten years of being the most successful Jeep Wrangler generation, the JK series makes way for the JL generation. The new one grows ever so slightly across its dimensions, the most significant being the 64mm wider track width. There's an all-new high strength steel frame and an aluminium body that help the new Wrangler shed up to 90kg from the outgoing model. Aesthetic details have been trimmed around the car, with headlights that cut into the larger grille (hat-tip to the vintage Jeep CJ-5) and narrower bumpers and fender flares, apart from LED lighting all around. The windshield still folds down and the doors and roof are more easily removable. The interiors have been modernised, with a standard 7-inch touchscreen infotainment. As ever, the drain plugs in the floor remain. The Jeep Wrangler is available in Sport, Rubicon or Sahara spec, in two- and four-doors. Currently in India is the four-door Unlimited with a 3.6-litre V6 petrol or a 2.6-litre diesel.
