20 years of the City and Indica
JOINING THE anniversary celebrations from the Tata stables was the Indica that wrapped up a good 20-year long run on Indian roads. First seen it at the 4th Auto Expo way back in 1998, the Indica was a spacious car that came at an affordable price. Over 20 years, the company says that it has sold over 14.69 lakh units.
Honda Cars India Ltd also commemorated 20 successful years of Honda City in India. The City started its journey in India in 1998, and now in its fourth generation avatar remains one of the longest running nameplates in Indian automotive history. India is the largest and most important market for Honda City accounting for over 25 per cent of the car’s current worldwide sales. The car continues to be an aspirational brand for many and the City enjoys huge brand loyalty amongst its customers.
